The 2012 Jeep Wrangler is steeped in rough and tumble imagery that dates back to 1941 when the U.S. Military requested that a light reconnaissance 4-wheel drive vehicle be built before entering World War 11. Of the 135 companies that were asked for a working prototype only two responded.

The 2011 Jeep Wrangler produced an all-new interior with improved ergonomics and upgraded materials, heated seats and the new USB device interface that connects to storage devices (thumb drives and most MP3 players). “We are confident the 2012 Jeep Wrangler will continue to purify the triumphant Wrangler formula that delivers rich styling with significant occupant comfort and versatility, all packaged with a premium appearance” declared Dave Senkow Managing Partner of Tunkhannock Auto Mart.
When it comes to engineering the Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts will appreciate increased acoustical treatment, resulting in significantly reduced interior noise. Suspension for the Wrangler is a five-link coil setup with tuned shock absorbers and this setup works with the Dana 30 front and next-generation heavy-duty Dana 44 rear axles.
For the aficionado that would like to see over 70 years of Jeep visit The Walter P. Chrysler Museum. There you will find the Willys MA78621, one of approximately 45 known models in existence. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum takes a shine at capturing Jeep lore.
The exhibit features a rotating cast of rare and iconic Jeeps. Only about 20 of these vehicles have been restored and eight are in the United States. Owners George and Bernadette Hollins have pinpoint their vehicle’s origins back to July 5, 1941, which was the day it was delivered to the U.S. Army from the Willys-Overland plant in Toledo, Ohio. They believe it was one of four MA models shipped to the 15th Infantry for testing in Fort Lewis, Wash. During World War II, the 15th Infantry fought through North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. At the war’s end, it boasted 16 recipients who received the Congressional Medal of Honor.
