When decorating your house for Halloween, you can go beyond the typical decorations and instead opt to give your house an overall theme. Keep in mind that some of these scenarios may not be appropriate for very young trick or treaters. Here are a few to consider:Famous Horror Movie Characters
Find costumes of famous slasher movie characters, like Jason from Friday the 13th, Freddy Kruger from a Nightmare on Elm Street, Ghostface from the Scream movies, and so forth. Use wire hangers in the sleeves so you can position the arms in a frightening manner. Have a few of them lined up along your pathway or backlit in windows.Witches Brew
Take three witch’s costumes, and stuff and stake them as with the slasher costumes above. Position them around a large black pot in your front yard. Place an inexpensive bubble machine in the pot. Put large sticks in the witches’ hands making it look like they are stirring the witches’ brew. If you can find a recording of witches laughing, have that playing as well.Creature House
Pick a theme of gargoyles, spiders, or bats. Get several of all shapes and sizes and place them all over the exterior of your house. Place outdoor spot lights on them to make them appear even scarier. If you can have the spot lights on a motion sensor, so that they turn on when people walk by, even better.Crime Scene
Recreate a crime scene by lining your walkway with police tape, drawing chalk outlines on your driveway, playing a tape of screams; even have a fake body lying under a white sheet. A bloody door cover will also add to the effect.Haunted Mansion
You can create the illusion of a haunted house quite easily. Thunder probes are inexpensive devices that mimic the sound of thunder with flashes of lightening. You could also have a CD of organ music playing, cob webs all over the exterior of your house, ghosts in window, and fake rats by the front door.Window Scenes
If you want something more elaborate and have several front facing windows, consider a classic horror film image in each. For example, you will find a lot of Halloween stores are selling blood covered shower curtains. So you could recreate the shower scene from the movie Psycho in one window with cardboard cutouts of the two characters back lit behind the curtain. We hope you have a wonderful Halloween. Please come by and check out our deals, we promise that we will not scare you away. Dress up and bring your costume to our dealership, we would love to see you.

How to drive safely during Autumn and Fall

Car Safety Tips As the days get shorter, the accident rate soars. Some of the most frequent causes of accident are little or no safety distance on wet roads, reduced concentration and, most importantly, fog-hampered visibility. A lot can be done, though, to considerably reduce the risk of an accident. We have compiled a few tips for dealing with foggy weather:

Adapt your driving speed to visibility. In other words, if visibility is poor let up on the gas pedal.

1) The safety distance to the vehicle in front of you should inversely correlate to your visibility range, more or less. This is the only way to make sure you’ll have enough time to react if the car up ahead brakes suddenly.

2) Switch on your dimmed headlights as soon as you notice a reduction in visibility. If a conspicuously large number of vehicles approaching you in the opposite lane have their lights on, it probably means that visibility is very likely worse up ahead.

3) Use fog tail lights only for visibility under fifty yards. They tend to blind traffic behind you. Also use fog lights if visibility is poor.

4) Concentrate on driving. Talking on the phone is a major distraction and should thus be avoided. Treat yourself to a break, even if you’re in a hurry. It will help you concentrate better, especially when doing long hauls in foggy conditions.

Wet leaves and rain

Accident hazards during the autumn season also increase. Many tree leaves are still clinging to the branches along the traffic routes, but with the first change in weather, foliage can turn into a major hazard on wet and slippery roads. Wet leaves and poor visibility during rainy weather are some of the most common causes of accidents.

We know how cautious you need to be when it comes to the seasonal changes. We want you to also have the best vehicle to handle the new road conditions. We hope you can give us a chance to show you how competitive we can be to get you in your new vehicle. Please come by and see us before the season changes too quickly.

Chrysler to display at Fiat booth in Frankfurt

Ever since the deal for Fiat to effectively take control of Chrysler group took effect, we’ve harbored a lot of questions over how the two companies would interact. With Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne taking the big office in Auburn Hills, some speculated that the two automakers would, in essence, merge, while others looked to Nissan and Renault chief exec Carlos Ghosn as a potential example – that is, keeping the two companies allied but run separately. Well, we may have our first glimpse at the answer with reports that the two automakers will be displaying together as one unit at next month’s upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
Both Chrysler and Fiat have a history of making big splashes at auto shows, and Frankfurt will be the first major car expo since the alliance was reached. Chrysler, for the most part, has kept a low profile since emerging from bankruptcy two months ago. And according to the latest reports, Chrysler will be limited to a section of the Fiat stand. Whatever approach Marchionne takes towards his two charges in Frankfurt, you can bet everyone will be taking notice.

Honey-Glazed Chicken with Roasted Grapes

Ingredients

   4  bone-in chicken breast halves, 2-1/2
      to 3 lb. total

   5  Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

   1  Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

   3  garlic cloves, minced

   3/4  tsp. salt

   1/4  tsp. ground black pepper

   1/4  cup honey

2  tsp. freshly shredded orange peel

1  bulb garlic (about 10 cloves)

   2  tsp. extra-virgin olive oil

1  lb. red and/or green seedless grapes,
       cut into 4 bunches

   1  Tbsp. honey

   1  wedge blue cheese, optional

   1  Tbsp. honey, optional

Preparation

Place chicken in a large resealable plastic bag. In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons of the vinegar, 1 tablespoon oil, minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, and pepper; pour over chicken. Seal bag and turn bag to coat chicken. Set aside for 15 minutes.Meanwhile, in another small bowl combine the remaining 3 tablespoons vinegar, 1/4 cup honey, orange peel, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt; mix well and set aside. Separate and peel garlic cloves; place on an 8-inch square of heavy foil; drizzle with 2 teaspoons olive oil. Wrap foil around garlic to seal.

For a charcoal grill, arrange preheated coals around a drip pan. Test for medium heat above the pan. Remove chicken from bag or bowl, discarding marinade. Place chicken, skin side down, on the grill rack over the drip pan. Place garlic packet next to chicken. Cover and grill for 25 minutes. Remove garlic and cool.

Turn chicken skin side up; brush with some of the honey mixture. Cover and grill for 25 minutes more or until an instant-read thermometer inserted in chicken registers 170 degrees F., brushing occasionally with honey mixture up until the last 5 minutes of grilling. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Adjust heat for indirect cooking. Place chicken, skin side down, on grill rack on unlit side. Cover and grill as above.)

Meanwhile, drizzle grapes with 1 tablespoon honey. Place grapes on grill rack over coals or heat. Cover and grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until browned and softened, turning once.

Remove chicken and grapes to serving plates. Serve with cheese topped with garlic and drizzled with honey.

There are bad rituals and there are good ones.
Bad rituals: Paying taxes, forgetting to bring a hat to Jazzfest, eating too much at Thanksgiving.
Good rituals: Tailgating at Saints games, eating seafood on Fridays and getting a minivan to go to the beach.
So here it is folks, my annual back-to-the-beach minivan report. Fortunately, like last year, I got a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT to take and I couldn’t have been more delighted. Ditto for my passengers.Loading Up
Three rows of seats, a cargo area that expands up to 83 cubic feet and a choice of three seating/storage configurations make for a lot of options when it comes to loading up people, beach towels and a vast array of junk food. Read the rest of the story: http://bit.ly/SmWSd

Jeep show draws enthusiasts from across the U.S.

Jeep show draws enthusiasts from across the U.S.Jeep owners said it is, indeed, ‘a Jeep thing.’By KEVIN HORANDaily Record/Sunday NewsUpdated: 07/20/2009 10:24:43 AM EDT
The center hosted PA Jeeps’ annual All Breeds Jeep Show, an event that feels like a carnival celebrating all things Jeep. The event attracts visitors from all over the country, PA Jeep president Wayne Fish said.
An enormous inflatable Jeep hovered over hundreds of revelers, many with cameras hanging from their necks, oohing and ahhing at rows of the souped-up 4x4s.
Vendors selling Jeep goodies such as kick panels, transmissions and tires set up shop along the edge of the center. Heavy-metal music blared from the back of one Jeep as its tires crunched along the gravel.
The obstacle course set up in the middle was the biggest attraction. A steady line of Jeep drivers forged over mountainous dirt pathways and gigantic boulders while spectators packed metal bleachers.
Mastering the course is what makes Jeeps special, said Brian DeBusk, of Elkton, Md. It also convinced DeBusk that the money he spent on recent upgrades, like a long-arm suspension system and locking differential, was worth it. Read the rest of the story here: http://ydr.inyork.com/ci_12872249

Mr. Norms Unveils 426 Hemi Dodge Challenger & Hemi Cuda Convertibles

Mr. Norms latest creations are a pair of convertibles based off the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8, the 426 Hemi Dodge Challenger and Hemi Cuda Convertibles. Taking design cues from the original 426 Hemi Challenger and 426 Hemi Cuda these vehicles are a modern rendition of the mighty Mopars which use to roam the streets in the 70′s. Each of these Challenger based vehicles incorporate E-body design elements from the early 70′s including a new grille inspired by the 1971 model for the Hemi Cuda Version, a shaker hood system, Hemi billboard graphics and ’71 Hemi Cuda taillight assemblies. Both vehicles receive a set of 20-inch forged multi-piece Mr. Norm’s “Thrust” custom wheels with ultra high performance Pirelli tires.Under the hood of both vehicles sits the 426 Hemi V-8 which utilizes a forged rotating assembly and a Kenne Bell supercharger that pumps out 725 horsepower. Keeping each of these vehicles firmly planted on the groundis Mr. Norm’s Hi Performance Rear Suspension system. The rear suspension utilizes the Viper SRT-10 spec Dana 44 differential mated to heavy duty driveshaft and half shafts.

On the inside the 426 Hemi Challenger and Hemi Cuda convertibles feature Katzkin black custom leather and suede seats accented with yellow top stitching along with a real pistol grip shifter.
